We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming IEEE International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems in its 56th installment to be held in Columbus, Ohio from August 4-7, 2013. The 56th Symposium will showcase the latest research results and innovations in the field of circuits and systems through multidisciplinary plenary talks and will include tutorials and special sessions on next-generation topics. MWSCAS 2013 will also include oral and poster sessions for contributed papers, as well as the student paper contest.
During the last decade, we have witnessed fast developments of various networking technologies, and many forms of networking are becoming core parts of our daily lives. With the proliferation of future wireless technologies and electronic devices, there is a fast growing interest in ubiquitous and future networks. In the days to come, we expect that the ubiquitous communication and networking technologies will become ubiquitous along with the emergence of many future networking technologies.
The IEICE Vietnam Section has been established in December 2012. We are preparing for the first Lecture Meeting and Inauguration Ceremony to open our section. The Lecture Meeting will be held at VNU University of Engineering and Technology (VNU-UET), Hanoi, Vietnam on March 15, 2013. We invite and expect all the IEICE members (but not limited to the IEICE members) to participate and attend this meeting.

The International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC/REV) is an annual conference series, co-organized by the Radio Electronics Association of Vietnam (REV) and the IEEE Communications Society (IEEE ComSoc). The goal of the series is twofold: to foster an international forum for scientific and technological exchange among Vietnamese and worldwide scientists and engineers in the fields of electronics, communications and related areas, and to gather their high-quality research contributions.
The ICDV (Integrated Circuits and Devices in Vietnam) is an annual international forum for presenting chips and circuit designs in solid-state and semiconductor fields. Continuous scaling of the CMOS devices increases the number of transistors on a VLSI chip. It will soon reach the level of 10 giga transistors on a single chip, which is equivalent to the total neuron numbers in the human brain. This would certainly provide us a great opportunity for new applications and information processing.
